Karyn Turk

It is with great sadness that the family of Karyn S. Turk announce her peaceful passing on February 23, 2024 at the age of 83 years young.

She was born on July 31, 1940, in Champaign Illinois, to Russell (Alfred) and Dorothy (Ohms) Fulfer.

She is survived by her children, Mark Turk, Lony (Richard) Folts, and Danielle (Mark) Lowry, her brother, Jim (Pam) Fulfer and sister, Cindy (David) Lashbrook, and several nieces and nephews. She is also survived by two grandsons Matt (Rose) Shockey and Erik Turk; bonus grandson Paul Folts and bonus granddaughter Kathryn (Patrick) Webb; great-grandson Cameron Shockey and great-granddaughter Meredith Shockey and most importantly her doggie SAMI LE.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Russell and Dorothy Fulter and brother Thomas (Tommy) Fulfer.

Karyn's hobbies included being in her backyard and feeding all the small animals, critters and birdies. She loved frolicking with her crystals and the power they possessed. She also strongly believed in homeopathic medicine.

There will be a Celebration of Life Thursday, March 14, 2024, at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center 710 N. Neil Street Champaign IL. 61820 from 4:30pm until 6pm.
