Karli Marie Cox (Marshall) passed away on October 22, 2025 in Terre Haute, Indiana. She was born on July 22, 1992 in Evansville, Indiana to Johnny Cox and Traci Kemp. They both survive.
A proud graduate of Crawfordsville High School, Karli completed her education alongside the Class of 2011. Her time in school was marked by her enthusiasm for basketball, which she enjoyed playing throughout her years there.
Those who knew her often remarked on her vibrant personality, noting that she had the unique ability to light up any room she entered. Karli possessed an appreciation for the beauty in everyday life, always finding joy in the little things. She found joy in collecting Nike tennis shoes and rocks, often spending afternoons eagerly searching for rocks, geodes, and beads. Music was a significant part of her life, and she could frequently be found singing along to her favorite tunes. Karli also had a remarkable talent in the kitchen. She worked at the Covered Bridge Restaurant in Eugene on and off for many years, and her family will miss all the delicious meals she made for them.
In addition to her parents, Karli is survived by her husband Rusty Marshall; her two daughters Zoey Niccum and Journee Marshall; and her siblings Kendra Lanham and Jaxon Cox. They, along with her many friends and extended family, will miss her vibrant spirit dearly. She was preceded in death by her stepmother Bonnie Cox and her grandfather-in-law Ora Paul Marshall.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 28, 2025 from 1- 3 pm EST at Sunset Funeral Home’s DeVerter Chapel, located at 215 N. Division Street in Cayuga.
