Karen Wadsworth

Karen Wadsworth, 77, of Danville, passed away on Thursday, February 1, 2024, at OSF Sacred Heart Medical Center in Danville, Illinois.

She was born November 24, 1946, in Danville, Illinois, daughter of the late Irvin and Mary Jayne (Strahl) Wadsworth.

Karen is survived by one sister: Cheryl (Mike) Pieper of Fort Madison, Iowa; her nephews: Doug (Robin) Wadsworth of Georgetown, IL., Zach (Stacey) Pieper of Fort Madison, IA; her nieces: Beth (Roxanne) Wadsworth of Washington DC, Kim Pieper of Santa Monica, CA., Lindsey Pieper of Fort Madison, IA., Jillian (Michael) Mohrfeld of Fort Madison, IA; one uncle: Ed Strahl of Danville, IL; six great-nephews; one great-niece and two great-great nieces.

Along with her parents, Karen was preceded in death by one brother: Robert Wadsworth and a sister-in-law: Jane Wadsworth

Karen worked retail for several companies in Danville over the years and she enjoyed collecting Indian artifact memorabilia.

A graveside service will be held for Karen on Tuesday, February 6, 2024, at 11:30AM at Springhill Cemetery in Danville, Illinois with Pastor James Blue officiating. Sunset Funeral Home in Danville, Illinois 3940 N Vermilion Street is honored to be caring for the family.
