Karen Sue Wright

Karen Sue Wright, 62, of Covington, IN, passed away at 6:39pm on Saturday December 17, 2016. Karen was born in Danville, IL on August 21, 1954, the daughter of Frank and Roberta Wright. Karen was married to Michael Pickering and later remarried Greg Covault on November 24, 1978 spending the next 25 years together, Michael and Greg precede her in death. Surviving Karen are her son Jon Covault of Covington; four daughters, Angie (Dusty) Bowling of Covington, Bobbi Jo Kovacic (Bill Bradford) of Perrysville, Kassi (Matt) Griffis of Danville, Dusti (Chad) Avery of Mahomet; two brothers, Jimmy (Linda) Wright of Danville, Tiny (Candy) Wright of Danville; four sisters, Judy Stephens of Danville, Donna Mascari of Danville, Bonnie (Larry) Hall of Veedersburg, Joy Wright of Danville; eleven grandchildren, Garrett Johnson, Dalton Kovacic, Malaki Loewenstein, Abigail Loewenstein, Josiah Avery, Peyton Loewenstein, Matilyn Griffis, Levi Avery, Titus Avery, Cooper Bowling and Stella Griffis. Karen is preceded in death by her parents, grandson, Lane Kovacic and brother, Frankie (Cheryl) Wright. Karen was a social butterfly, spending time with friends and family was the most important thing to her. She enjoyed organizing events and was known to be the best host. Karen was a graduate of Danville High School class of 1971. She became a waitress at the Beef House for 37 years and loved her job and coworkers. In her spare time Karen enjoyed gardening, playing BINGO, gambling, and spending time with her husband on the river. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1pm on Friday, December 23, 2016 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center 3940 N. Vermilion St. in Danville. Officiating will be pastor Raymie Gordon. Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery in Danville. Visitation will be held from 4pm to 8pm on Thursday, December 22, 2016 at the funeral home.
