Karen Sue Brown

Danville - Karen Sue Brown, 78, of Danville, IL passed away at 1:40 PM on Sunday October 21, 2018 at Hawthorne Inn in Danville. Karen was born on April 29, 1940 in Danville the daughter of John W. and Geraldine (Hughs) Riley. Karen is survived by her son; Bob (Vicky) Brown of Danville, IL, one sister; Elizabeth Dianne (Bart) Collins of Georgetown, IL, three grandchildren; Chase (Maruissa) Brown of Oakwood, IL, Chad Brown of Danville, IL and Lindsey (Michael) Miller of Danville, IL as well as six great grandchildren; Amelia, William, Madilynn, Dakotta, Darbiee and Draycin. Karen is preceded in death by her parents and one son; James Allen Brown Karen was a member of Women in Construction and owned and operated Hillary Mini Storage. In her free time Karen enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. A Celebration of Life on Friday, October 26, 2018 at 10:00 AM at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 3940 N. Vermilion Street, Danville, with Robbie Ketcherside officiating. Burial will be in Allhands Cemetery in Kickapoo State Park. Visitation will be held on Friday, October 26, 2018 from 9:00 - 10:00 AM at the funeral home. The family would like to extend a heartfelt Thank You to the nurses and staff at Hawthorne Inn in Danville for the excellent care they provided Karen during her stay.
