Karen G. Jones, 79, of Danville, IL met Jesus face to face and was reunited with the Love of her Life on Thursday, Dec. 10, 2020
Karen was born on October 23, 1941 in Twin Falls, Idaho to Everett and Lola Damon. She had one sister, Sharon Sauer, and all have gone before her and welcomed her home into Heaven.
After graduating from high school in Idaho, she went off to College and within the first year met the Love of her Life, Larry Jones. After 5 months of getting to know each other, they decided they needed a lifetime as one. They were married for 53 years when daddy went to help prepare Heaven for her grand entrance. It was a long 6 years of separation in her eyes, but the day has come that there will be no more space nor time between them.
Besides being a committed Pastors wife, her life revolved around her family. Karen was known for her ability to recite all birthdays and anniversaries of her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and other family and friends, BUT not her passwords. Karen was a talented seamstress and quilter. She also should have been a minor stockholder in Hersheys chocolates due to her LOVE of Reeses Peanut Butter Cups. She will be missed by all who loved her
Karen is survived by her seven children: Dawain (Robin) Jones of Decatur, AL, Cheryl (Wayne) Goodall of Ava, Mo, Stephen (Cindy) Jones of Troy Mo, Jeff (Jamie) Jones of Cincinnati OH, Karen (Tom) Davidson of Danville, Il, Dan (Amy) Jones of Hawk Point, Mo, Robert (Tonya) Jones of St Louis, Mo; 28 Grandchildren and 30 Great Grandchildren; niece Wendy McKnight of Hagerman Idaho, and Oscar- her pretty bird.
Karen was preceded in death by her Great granddaughter Macey Suzanne Fritz.
Visitation will be 11:00 to 1:00pm Saturday, Dec 19 at Troy Wesleyan Church, Troy, Mo. Immediately following, Funeral Service will be officiated by Rev. Jeff Jones. Interment will follow in Hawk Point Cemetery, Hawk Point, Mo.
Family and friends are invited to visit www.sunsetfuneralhome.com. to sign the online guest register. In Lieu of Memorials, Karen would appreciate spending that money at your local Walmart and dont forget, you can save 3 cents per gallon when you use your Walmart Gas Card.
