Karen L. Foster, 67, of Danville passed away on December 21, 2009 at The Hawthorne Inn in Danville. Karen was born October 23, 1942 in Clinton, IN daughter of William R. and Anita R. Cole Kyle. She married Earl Foster on December 21, 1963 in Danville. He survives along with daughter: Kathryn (Mike) Thompson of Danville; brothers: Jerry (Rosemary) Kyle and Don (Patty) Kyle all of Terre Haute, IN; sister: Carol Fisher of KY; grandchildren: Anna, Jenna, and Ethan; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Shirley, grandparents, and stepmother. Karen was a 61 graduate of Danville High School and had worked as a recreation director and receptionist at the Hawthorne Inn for many years. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Georgetown, IL for a number of years. Karens world revolved around her family, grandchildren, and church family. She enjoyed crocheting, cooking, gospel music, and attending her grandchildrens sporting events. Karen was known for her chicken & noodles, being very dedicated to her church and church family, and being an amazing friend. A Celebration of Karens Life will be held at 2:00 pm, Monday, December 28, 2009 at Sunset Funeral Home & Cremation Center 3940 N. Vermilion St. Danville, IL with Pastors Gerald McPhillips and Ray Silver officiating. Visitation will be held from 12"2 pm Monday afternoon at the funeral home. Following the service, she will be laid to rest at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery in Danville. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Karens name to Bethel Baptist Church 501 S.
