Karen Sue DeVore, 66, of Covington, passed away at 4:00 p.m. Thursday, February 22, 2007 at the Waters of Covington. Karen was born on August 26, 1940 in Covington, Indiana, the daughter of Vernon E. and Helen H. (Arrowsmith) Julian. She married Robert C. DeVore in November of 1962 in Danville. He preceded him in death on December 22, 1981. She is survived by her one daughter- Kelly (JD) Gerling of Danville; two grandchildren- Jason R. (Brittney) Gerling and Holly S. (Melvin) Shuter both of Danville; three great-grandchildren- Heaven S. and Caiden R. Gerling, and Garrett A.L. Shuter all of Danville; one sister- Betty Julian of Covington, Indiana; three brothers; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one brother. Karen attended Catlin High School. She worked for 22 years at Lincoln Lanes, at the front desk and also as a bartender. Karen loved going to New Orleans on vacation and spending her time there during Mardi gras. She loved to play bingo, go bowling, and fishing. She loved to drink Pepsi. A Tribute to the Life of Karen Sue DeVore will at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 28, 2007 at Sunsets Community and Life Tribute Center in Danville. Burial will be held at Sunset Memorial Park.
