Paulding, Ohio - Kandia Hawn, 54, of Paulding and formerly of Cayuga, Indiana, passed away at 10:55 a.m. EST Sunday, January 1, 2012 at Parkview Hospital in Ft. Wayne, Indiana. She was born January 1, 1958 in Danville, Illinois, the daughter of the late Melvin and Jean Fletcher Butcher. She married Bill Hawn on August 27, 1973 in Bethel, Illinos. He survives. Other survivors include her children, Richard(Michelle)Hawn of Covington, Indiana; Bobbie(Tommy)Warneke and Billy(Estelle)Hawn both of Paulding, Ohio and Yolanda(John Shull)Hawn of Defiance, Ohio; thirteen grandchildren; four sisters, Paula Summers of Robinson, Illinois; Rhonda Warnick of Avon, Indiana; Debbie Morgan of Hillsboro, Indiana and Lisa(Wayne)Walters of Olive Branch, Mississippi; two brothers, Terry Butcher of Veedersburg, Indiana; Tony(Geri)Butcher of Attica, Indiana and mother in law, Mary Jane Hawn of Eugene, Indiana. She was preceded in death by one sister, Jeannie Hetrick and one brother, Ricky D. Butcher. Kandia was a homemaker. She enjoyed working on crafts and shopping for antiques. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Graveside services and burial: 10 a.m. EST Friday, January 6, 2012 at Wolf Creek Cemetery near Wallace, Indiana; Officiating: Rev. Jon Overbey; Visitation: 5 to 8 p.m. EST Thursday, January 5, 2012 at DeVerter Funeral Home in Cayuga, Indiana.
