Justine Pentony, 82, of Danville died at her home on Saturday, April 15, 2006. A mass to celebrate her life will be held at 10 am on Thursday, April 20, 2006 at St. Pauls Catholic Church in Danville with Father Greg Nelson officiating. Burial will follow the service at Resurrection Cemetery in Danville. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 pm on Wednesday, April 19, 2006 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville with Rosary recited at 7 pm. Mrs. Pentony was born September 5, 1923 in Meeker Hill, WI to Clara and Joseph Dejardin. She met her husband, Donald J. Pentony while working at American Can Company in Milwaukee, WI. The couple wed in 1956. He died in 1987. Survivors include a son: Mike Pentony of Danville, IL; a daughter: Meg (John) King of Norwell, MA; a son Dan (Linda Curtis) Pentony of Danville, IL; two grandchildren: Michael and Katherine King of Norwell, MA; two sisters: Mary Ann Summerfield of Redlands, CA and Rosemary Bonniwell of Brown Deer, WI.; a sister in law: Lorraine Leitzke of Milwaukee, WI; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and infant daughter: Jane Marie. Mrs. Pentony was a devoted wife, mother, and homemaker. She moved to Danville in 1975, where she made her home for 31 years. Prior to her retirement she was employed by Daniels Furniture and St. Pauls Catholic Church. Justine was an active member of the St. Pauls Catholic Church community, a member of the Daughters of Isabella, volunteer for United Samaritans Medical Center, member of the Red Hat Society and the Danville Garden Club. She enjoyed reading, gardening, knitting, needlework and was an avid baseball fan. Justine most enjoyed spending time with her friends and family.
