June Kopacz, 90, of Danville, passed away at 1:50pm, Tuesday, September 6, 2016, at Hawthorne Inn, Danville. She was born on August 29, 1926, in Danville the daughter of Herbert and Mary {Shelato} Swisher, both deceased. She was united in marriage to Theodore "Todge" Kopacz on November 26, 1951, in Dayton, OH, until his passing on May 6, 2011. She will be missed by: her sons, Theodore (Pam) Kopacz Jr. of Danville and John Kopacz of Aurora, IL; her daughters, Pamela Hacquet of Danville and Cynthia Pike of Brazil, IN; her beloved dog, Minnie; her grandchildren, Tammy (Barry) Klugow, Cheri Hancock, Scott Kopacz, Becky (Eric) Glines, Andy Pike, Kailey Kopacz, & Cassiday Kopacz; her step grandchildren, Stephanie (Brad) Joy, Danny (Jennifer) Pike, Tracey (Billy) Pryor, Buddy King, & Terri (David) Tellier; her great grandchildren, Lacie, Brittnie, Michael, Branden, Landon, Hunter, Case, Eli, Avery, Hunter Hart, Trevor, Tanner, Treyton, Jesse, Jordan, Jayden, Sydney, Alyssa, Mallory, Branch, Parker, Justin, & Jessica; her great-great grandchildren, Braden, Nolan, Kinsley, Raven, Emmit, Elijah, Adalynn, & Kennedy; and several nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by: her brother, Robert Swisher; her sisters, Rosalie Welsch & Bernice Wimsett; her son-in-law, Dan Pike; and step grandson, J.D. King. June had worked at Peterson Filling and the Goody Shop years ago. She was a member of the Women's American Legion Auxiliary Post #51. She served as an election judge and volunteered time to help with Meals on Wheels program. She enjoyed playing Bingo, going bowling, playing Euchre, and loved to go dancing. She was known to love to spoil her grandkids and enjoyed spending time with her family. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. A celebration of June's life will be held at 2:00pm, Sunday, September 11, 2016, at Sunset-Urbas Funeral Chapel, 414 S State St, Westville, with Pastor James Blue officiating. Visitation will be 12pm to 2pm prior to her service on Sunday at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest in Sts. Peter & Paul Cemetery, Westville. Memorial donations may be given in her name to C.A.R.A. Animal Shelter in Tilton.
