Julie Anne Wargolet, 54, of Rantoul passed away Sunday morning (Nov. 3, 2024) in rural Rantoul.
She was born Jan. 13, 1970, in Urbana, a daughter of Dave and Linda (Hess) Barnett.
She married Neal White, and they had two sons, Sam and Jake White, both of Champaign. She later married Chris Wargolet on June 25, 2010, and they bought a home in rural Rantoul and spent many months building it into their mini-homestead.
Also surviving are her parents, Dave and Linda Barnett of Rantoul; three brothers, Mike Barnett of Pennsylvania, Steve Barnett of Pennsylvania and Bill Barnett of Kansas; a sister, Parker Wolf nee Deborah Barnett of Rantoul; and a grandchild, Aubrey White.
Julie graduated from Rantoul Township High School in 1988. She worked as a supervisor at Jeld-Wen for over 20 years. She loved to be outside, preferably with her hands dirty! She had two wonderful St. Bernards and a lovely koi pond at her home. She loved to travel in her Jeep, waving to all the other Jeep owners and smiling. She looked forward to the times spent with her granddaughter.
She became very political in her later years, and, yes, she voted early — MAGA!
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at Lux Memorial Chapel, 1551 E. Grove Ave., Rantoul. There will be a private burial in her family’s plots in Elmwood Cemetery at a later date.
