Julie Mowery

Julie Mowery, 62, of Danville, IL passed away unexpectedly on September 28, 2024.

Julie was born on March 4, 1962 in Danville, IL the daughter of William and Judith (Ellis) Smith. Julie was raised in Georgetown most of her life by Marion and Marjorie Ellis. She married Kenneth Mowery on September 8, 2003 in Las Vegas. Kenny survives.

Survivors include her father, William Smith of Georgetown, IL, her husband Kenneth Mowery of Danville, IL, her children, Stephanie (James) Dukes of Danville, IL, Daniel (Melinda) Beeson of Danville, IL, Brandon Caudill of Moline, IL, Tiffany Martin of Jeffersonville, IL, Morgan Mowery of Danville, IL, Annette (Mark Kutzke) Mowery of Fort Meyers, FL, Michael Mowery of Vermont, Michelle Mertz of Vermont, Tara Mowery of Danville IL. Julie is survived by 13 grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and four sisters.

Julie is preceded in death by her mother, Judy, her grandparents Marion and Marjorie Ellis and one brother Daniel Smith.

Julie worked for many years taking care of Individuals with developmental disabilities. She enjoyed spending time with her family during dinners and bubble painting blankets. Julie was loved by many kids, when her children were growing up, she was everybody’s mom, her home was the “Kool-Aid house”, where all the neighborhood kids came to hang out. Most of all, Julie loved spending time with her life (Kenny and Morgan)

A Graveside Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, October 4, 2024 at Sunset Memorial Pak with Sue VanPelt officiating.

Memorials may be made in Julie’s memory to Kenneth and Morgan Mowery at TeePak Credit Union.
