DANVILLE - Julie Ann Rouse Parker, 54, of Danville passed away Wednesday, March 18, 2015 at her home surrounded by her loving family and her furbaby, Spanky. Born December 18, 1960 in Danville, she was the daughter of John Henry Rouse, Joan Ellen Powell Rouse, and her stepfather, Thomas Morse. In 1979, Julie married Samuel Morrison. In this union, they had two beautiful children. She later married Christopher Thoma, Sr. in 1993 who gave her 3 stepchildren. They later divorced. She later married Michael Parker, and they later divorced, but remain special friends. She is survived by two children, Jodie (Damien) Brown and Justin Morrison, both of Danville; four stepchildren, Brian Thoma of Danville, Christopher Thoma Jr. of Danville, Matthew Thoma of Danville and Christopher Spears, whom she raised as her own; her special furbaby, Spanky, who kept her company once the kids were grown; five siblings, Deanna (John) Johnson of Danville, Mark Rouse of Danville, Donald Morse of West Lafayette, IN, Thomas (Linda) Morse of California and Leah (Mohammad) Omay of Ammand, Jordan; three grandchildren, Alexis and Nicholas Brown, and Isaac Morrison; several step grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her stepfather. Julie worked as a C.N.A. for Americana Nursing Home and International Nursing Home here in Danville. She later worked as a laundry assistant for Schaeffer Brothers Laundry, which is now Custom Care Cleaners. But, her most enjoyable job was taking care of her family. She would give the shirt off her back if she knew someone needed it. Julie loved playing BINGO and taking care of her nieces, nephews and grandchildren. She also loved going out and listening to karaoke with her friends, and had a major collection of frogs. Julies family will receive friends Sunday from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville. A service to celebrate Julies life will be 1 p.m. Monday afternoon at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest following services at Atherton Cemetery. A memorial has been established in Julies memory for the purchase of her headstone. Julies family would like to thank Carle Hospice, and nurse Terri Ratliff, who took such great care of her. They would also like to extend a special thanks to her niece and nephew, Brittany and Ryan Rouse for making her last days special. Julie will be greatly missed by all.
