Julianne First

Julianne (Crain) First, 63, of Danville, Illinois, went home to Heaven early Tuesday morning, October 11, 2016. She was born February 17, 1953, the youngest daughter of Arnold and Helen (Davis) Crain. Julianne grew up with 3 brothers and 1 sister and maintained close relationships with all of her siblings. She married her childhood sweetheart at age 18 and raised 2 sons. She loved her family deeply and was a devoted, lifelong friend. She enjoyed big family dinners, playing cards with her family and friends, being Nana to her grandchildren, buying and selling antiques, and going on trips. Julianne worked as a receptionist in the emergency room at Lakeview Memorial Hospital for 35 years. She was a member of Hoopeston Church of God, Hoopeston, Illinois. She enjoyed cross-stitching, sewing baby blankets for expecting mothers, and watching her grandchildren play sports. She was generous and kind to all those who met her. Julianne was preceded in death by her parents, her devoted husband of 35 years, Harold First, and her brother James Crain. She is survived by her sons, Kent (Therese) First of Sheldon, and J. Daniel (Brandy) First of Danville; brothers, John and David (Lashelle) Crain; sister, Connie (David) Dittmar; sister-in-law, Michell Crain; 10 grandchildren, Aaron, Seph, Evan, Erik, Nolan (Kristen), Jordan, Iggy, Charity, Aleksandr, and Jubilee; and 1 great-grandchild, Esli Joy; and many beloved nieces and nephews. A visitation and memorial service will be held at 5:00 PM on Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at Community Church of God, 535 S. Bowman Ave. Danville, Illinois. There will be a 1-hour visitation at 5:00 PM on Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at Community Church of God, 535 S. Bowman Ave. Danville, Illinois, with a memorial service immediately following.
