Julia Seal

Julia Darlene Seal, age 67 of Danville, passed away Friday, January 29, 2016 at 12:09 PM at Presence USMC Danville. She was born January 30, 1948 in Danville, the daughter of Floyd and Francis "Tiny" (Porter) Davis. Julia will be dearly missed by her children, Jeffrey VanNote of Covington, Patty VanNote of Westville, and Scott (Sherri) VanNote of Veedersburg; grandchildren, Misty Dicken, Corey (Taylor) Dicken, Tyler Dicken, Jessica VanNote, Eric VanNote, and Wade VanNote; sister, Sandy (Steve) Beckley of Pensacola, FL; close family friend, John Dicken; and her faithful companions, her dogs, Tito and Chi-Chi. She was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Tiny Davis. Julia worked as a cook at various places in the area. She loved cooking for family and friends and they will greatly miss her amazing meals. Julia often helped out at the food pantries in the area and would take home food for her neighbors in need. She always made sure no one ever went hungry. Julia also enjoyed spending time tending to her garden. Most of all she loved her family and making precious memories with her children and grandchildren. Julia had a wonderful personality and will be missed by all who knew and loved her. As per her wishes, Julia will be cremated and no public services will be held. The family asks that any memorial donations be made in her name to the National Parkinson's Foundation to further Parkinson's research.
