Julia Richard

Danville, IL- Julia Richard, 74, passed away on October 24, 2017 at The Waters of Covington. She was born in Danville, IL on February 9, 1943, the daughter of Clifford and Dorothy (Wheeler) Compton. Julia will be deeply missed by her two sons; Keith Williams and Willie (Steffanie) Cooper, seven grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren with one due in June. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and four sisters. Julia worked as a cook most of her life, first at the Phoenix Restaurant and then Katy's in Westville. She liked knitting, working with plastic canvas, playing video games and listening to country music. Her family will miss dearly. A celebration of Julia's life will be held on Friday, October 27, 2017 at 2 PM at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center 3940 North Vermilion Danville, IL 61834 with Chris Atwood officiating. Visitation will be held from 1-2 PM prior to the service. She will be laid to rest at Sunset Memorial Park. Memorials can be made in her name to the American Diabetes Association P.O.
