Judy Moore

Judy Moore was called to her heavenly home November 8, 2015. Judy's story began on September 1, 1944, when she was born to Robert and Helen (Giles) Butterworth. Judy grew up in Hoopeston, IL, with her two brothers, Bobby and Mark. Upon graduating from Hoopeston High School, in 1962, Judy attended Business School in Lincoln, NE. Immediately after graduation, Judy went to work in Washington, D.C. Judy moved back to this area, where over the years, working at Bohn Aluminum, Chuckles, First National Bank, and retiring from the Business Loan Department of First Midwest Bank. God blessed Judy with two sons; the first, John Keller and youngest, Jesse (J.D.) Keller. Each son happily married. John and wife, Jane (Bruns) Keller blessed Judy with three grandchildren, Graham, Luke, and Emma. Jesse (J.D.) with wife, Pam (Chumley) Keller added to the blessings with Carson and Jaxon. On June 8, 1985, Judy married her husband and best friend, Russell Moore, at Sugar Mill Campground in Wallace, IN. In their thirty years together, they enjoyed camping, line-dancing, traveling, and most-importantly, spending time with their precious grandchildren. They watched soccer, football, ballet, cross country ATV and dirt bike racing, and spent many hours at school programs. In recent years, they shared their time between Covington and Winter Haven, FL. Judy had many friends. She enjoyed annual trips with her girlfriends: Jane Cates, Sandy Smith, and Carolyn Story. Missing her deeply include her husband, Russell; sons, John, wife Jane, Keller of Zionsville, IN; Jesse (J.D.), wife Pam, Keller of Covington, IN; step-daughter, Kathie, husband Dirk, Porter of Danville, IL; and step-son, John, wife Kathy, Moore of Attica, IN; brother, Robert, wife Kathy, Butterworth, and Mark and Kelly Butterworth, all of Hoopeston, IL. And finally, missing their Nana, are her grandchildren, Graham, Luke, and Emma Keller of Zionsville, IN; Carson and Jaxon Keller of Covington, IN, and Drew Moore of Attica, IN. Judy was a faithful servant of the Lord. Her family finds comfort knowing she now sits at the right hand of God; along with her parents. "In the path of righteousness is life, and in its pathway there is no death." - Proverbs 12:28 Judy's family will receive visitors on Wednesday, November 11, 2015, from 3pm-6pm, with services at 6:00pm at the First Baptist Church (518 5th St, Covington, IN 47932). Burial will commence on Thursday, November 12, 2015 at Floral Hill Cemetery (301 W Main St., Hoopeston, IL 60942) at 9:00am (CST). In lieu of flowers, the family wishes to donate to First Baptist Church School or a charity of their choosing.
