Judy Marie Phillips

Judy would like to let you know that her work here is done. She received a call, an offer that no one could refuse, for an appointment from which she will not be returning. This assignment comes with a HUGE sign on bonus, a reunion with family and friends she has not seen in a long time. Her new mission takes her to a wonderful place where she will be socializing until her heart's content. Laughter and love are guaranteed, food is delicious, and you never gain an ounce. She left detailed instructions for her loved ones to celebrate her life here. We want to let her know that she did a great job and wish her a safe journey. We will remember her warmth, smile, her love of life, family and friends. Judy Marie Phillips, age 58 of Westville, formerly of Georgetown, passed away Friday, October 2, 2015 at 5:25 PM at her home. She was born August 15, 1957 the daughter of Franklin and Lilly Wilma (Stark) Osborne. Judy married Timothy Phillips on May 4, 1974 in Georgetown. He preceded her in death on December 7, 2010. Surviving are her daughters, Melissa (Dustin) Nelk of Westville and Angel Fellers of Georgetown; brothers, Claude (Pauline) Osborne and Dale Osborne; sisters, Dixie (Al) Thompson and Faye (Wayne) Cauley; grandchildren, Kyley, Dylan, Makenzie, Jarred, Jayben, Riley, Reese, and Alexia; and great-grandchildren, Honor and Legacy. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Tim, son Cody, two brothers, and one sister. Judy loved her girls, grandkids, and animals, especially her old cat, Squeak. Judy worked as a CNA for many years until 2010 when she had a stroke and was unable to work. She got into playing games on Facebook. Her family joked she would go through withdrawals if she had to be away from the computer long. She made a difference in the lives of so many. We invite you to join us and celebrate together. A Celebration of Judy's Life will be held Thursday, October 8, 2015 at 6:00 PM at Sunset's Houghton-Leasure Funeral Chapel in Georgetown. Pastor Phil Miller will officiate. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service at the funeral home. Per Judy's wishes she was cremated and will be laid to rest Friday, October 9, 2015 at 1:00 PM in Georgetown Cemetery.
