Judy L. Moore, 66, of Danville, passed this life at 11:46 a.m. Sunday, January 17, 2010 at Provena United Samaritans Medical Center. She was born on August 19, 1943 in Danville, the daughter of Leo E. and Clara Bernice (Robertson) See. She married Robert Moore on January 29, 1965 in Danville. He preceded her in death on February 5, 2000. She was also preceded in death by both of her parents, a sister- Shirley Swider of Danville and a very special uncle- William Bill Robertson. She is survived by two sons- Terry (Shelly) Moore and Scott Moore both of Danville; one grandson- Robert (Michelle) Moore of Fargo, North Dakota; two great-grandsons; three great-nieces; one great-nephew; and one great-great nephew. She loved spending time with her husband fishing on the Ohio River and spending time with her many family and friends. Judy worked from 1960 to 1965 for General Electric Company, in Danville. Then from 1974 to 1986 she worked for the Plumbers and Pipefitters Local Union #293, retiring in 1986 as a secretary. She was a member of the Westside Nazarene Church of Danville. Judy had a very special niece- Brenda Roberts, who took care of her during her illness. She had two very close friends- Sharon (Foley) Hoskins and Linda S. Freed, who was like a daughter to her. Judy also had three other special friends who were always there for her- Daisy Woodard, Brenda Turner and Myrna Creason. Judy enjoyed spending a lot of her time with her great niece- Savanna Kay Roberts. She also had two other children who she loved very dearly- Allen and Michelle Johnson. Judy was known around the neighborhood as Aunt Judy to all of the children. A Celebration of the Life of Judy L. Moore will be at10:00 a.m. Thursday, January 21, 2010 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville, with Pastor William Wright officiating. Burial will follow the service in Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Westside Nazarene Church.
