Judy L. Lautner

RANTOUL- Judy L. Lautner, 55, of Rantoul, went to be with the Lord on August 6, 2014 at 5:43 pm at Carle Foundation Hospital. Judy was born on July 29, 1959 in Beech Grove, IN, the daughter of Charles D. Rupert and Barbara J. Wicoff-Rupert. She married Timothy W. Lautner on May 11, 1995 in Pensacola, FL. Left to carry on her legacy is her husband; mother, Barbara Rupert; brothers, Mark and Chuck (Marla) Rupert; sisters, Carol (Kevin) Garleb, Patty Campbell, Paula (David) Smith, and Angi (Jay) Bann; 21 nieces and nephews; and 9 great nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death is her father, Charles Rupert and sister, Cathy Moyer. Judy enjoyed homemaking and caring for her “children” (pets) Sugar, Tabitha-Jane, and Choo. Her love and care for displaced animals was endless. She will be most remembered for the love she had for her family and the special place in her heart she had for her nieces and nephews. Cremation rights have been accorded by Sunset Funeral Homes, Champaign-Urbana Chapel, 710 North Neil Street, Champaign. A celebration of life will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, August 16, 2014 at Faith Baptist Church, 4601 N. Market St., Champaign with Pastor Bob Hassel officiating.
