Judy K. Turner

Fairmount Judy K Turner, 72, of Fairmount passed away at her home on Saturday May 22, 2021 at 5:30 PM.

Judy was born on November 30, 1948 the daughter of Carl G and Ardis Corinne (Sarner) Lind in Colorado Springs, CO. She married Larry Foster Turner on June 7, 1973 in Charleston, SC and he preceded her in death on June 17, 2019.

Survivors include her son, Zachary (Britney) Turner of Plainfield, IN, her daughter, Jennifer (LeStan) Hoskins of Danville, IL, one brother, Gary (Gail) Lind of Lake Havasu City, AZ, ten grandchildren, Cade and Ryan Turner and Taytum Shake all of Plainfield, Olivia Tillman of OFallon, IL, Josiah, Christian, Isabella, Rosalynn, Leila, and LeStan Hoskins, II all of Danville, IL.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Larry Turner.

Judy was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church. She obtained her Masters of Science in Education and spent the majority of her career as a high school teacher at Schlarman High School for many years and later taught at the Oakwood High School, reaching her 50 years of teaching goal.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 6:00 PM on Thursday, May 27, 2021 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center 3940 N Vermilion St., Danville, Illinois 61834. Ed Stone will officiate. Burial will be in Danville National Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to a scholarship fund in Judys memory at DACC for a Veteran or a dependent of a Veteran.
