Judith Yocius

Danville Judith Yocius, 73, of Danville passed away at 2:08 PM at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana on January 24, 2020.

Judith was born on November 18, 1946 the daughter of William and Doris (Peavler) Decker in Danville, IL. She married Stephen M Yocius on November 11, 1967 in Danville and he preceded her in death on October 22, 1998.

Survivors include her son, Christopher (Chrissy Hartley) Yocius of Danville, IL, her daughter, Theresa (Todd Hyland) Yocius of Danville, IL, one brother, Kenneth Decker of Attica, IN, two sisters, Carolyn (Bill) Darner of Lancaster, CA and Donna (Les) Hughes of Covington, IN as well as four grandchildren, Amanda, Brenden, Madison and Joselyn Yocius and three great grandchildren, Ezra, James and Arabella.

Judith is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Stephen and one son, Patrick Yocius.

Judith was a member of Ridgeview Baptist Church and worked at Steel Grip. She enjoyed a variety of sports and was a fan of the Chicago Cubs, Bears, Blackhawks and Bulls. Judith was also an avid Illini Fan and enjoyed attending her children and grandchildrens sporting events.

A Celebration of Life Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, January 30, 2020 at 1:00 PM in the Chapel Mausoleum at Sunset Memorial Park. Pastor Mark Keyser will officiate. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park. Visitation will be held Thursday, January 30, 2020 from Noon 1:00 PM at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville, Illinois, 3940 N Vermilion St. Danville, Illinois 61834.
