Judith A. (Judy) LaMar, 59, of Georgetown, passed away at 1:35a.m., Saturday, March 31, 2007, at Provena United Samaritan Medical Center in Danville, after a long and brave battle with cancer. She was born November 5, 1947 in Ottawa, Illinois, the daughter of Richard J. and Opal M. (Olglesby) Gaul. Judy married Gary Clark LaMar on April 15, 1967 in Ottawa. He survives. Other survivors include her mother, Opal M. Gaul of Ottawa, mother-in-law, Jessie (Sis) LaMar of Georgetown, two sons, James (Nancy) LaMar of Charleston and Kenneth (Molly) LaMar of Danville, and a special son, Keith (Linda) Cohoon of Oakwood, two daughters, Phyllis (Todd) Dalzell of Georgetown, and Jessica (Jeffery) Keeling of Westville, ten grandchildren, Brock LaMar, Kimmy (Josh) Hatcher, Kayla Cox, Kendall Dalzell, Kassie Cohoon , Damon LaMar, Grant LaMar , Keirsten LaMar, Keegan Dalzell, and Ayden LaMar, one great-granddaughter, Ariel Hatcher, and one brother, Richard F. Gaul of Warrenville, Illinois. She was preceded in death by her father. Judy retired as a customer service representative with Aqua Illinois Water Company. She was member of the Order of Eastern Star, Chapter 854, Danville, serving as Associate Matron. She enjoyed computer games, crocheting, and traveling. She especially loved attending her grandchildren's activities. Judy was a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Georgetown. A celebration of the life of Judith A. (Judy) LaMar will be held at 10:00a.m., Wednesday, April 4, 2007 at Sunset funeral Home and Cremation Center, 3940 N. Vermilion, Danville, Illinois, with Pastor Leon Corb officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 4:00-8:00p.m., Tuesday, at the funeral home, with the Order of Eastern Star service at 7:30p.m. Memorials may be made in Judys name to Provena United Samaritan Cancer Treatment Center or Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
