Judith L. Schroeder, 65, of Danville, passed away at 7:19 PM on April 1, 2012 at her residence.. Judith was born on September 12, 1946 in Danville, the daughter of Ted and Dorotha (Humphries) Schroeder. She is survived by two sons- Scott A. (Tammy) Colver of West Virginia and Greg (Florence) Colver of Sacramento, CA, one daughter- Kelly Colver of Mexico, three grandchildren- Kelly, Sara and Gregory Colver Jr., two great-grandchildren- Kayleen Cartwright and Gregory Colver III. She was preceded in death by her parents. Judith graduated from Danville High in 1964 then went on to the University of Connecticut where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in nursing in 1971. She finished her schooling at Eastern Illinois University where she got her Masters Degree in Social Work in 2002. She was the activity director and admissions director at the Hawthorne Inn in Danville. She was a member of Bethel and Trinity Lutheran churches. She was an accomplished pianist and taught piano lessons when she was in high school. She loved NASCAR, fishing with her dog Holly, cooking, watching football, sewing and listening to the police scanner. A memorial service will be held on Monday, April 23, 2012 at 6:00 PM at Bethel Lutheran Church in Danville with Pastor Ed Stone officiating. A visitation will be held from 5:00-6:00 PM on Monday at the church. Memorials can be made in Judith's name to Bethel Lutheran Church of Danville.
