Judith Dewlen, 80, of Covington, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday September 24, 2024, at St Mary’s Assisted Living in Lafayette, Indiana. Judy was born May 20, 1944, in Fort Wayne, Indiana, the daughter of Dale and Mildred (Snyder) Warren. Judy married the love of her life, Phillip Dewlen on November 17, 1962. He preceded her in death on May 29, 2000.


Judy leaves behind her two boys; Marc (Kara) Dewlen and Nick (Melinda) Dewlen, grandchildren; Chelsea, Easton, Rylea, Cassidy, Sadie, and Ava Dewlen, great grandchildren; Vivian Bennett, Olivia Freeman, and Asher Wagoner, and brother Merle Warren.


Judy was preceded in death by her biological parents, her parents that raised her, her husband, and half-sister Dalene Letseh.


Judy lost both of her parents at a young age and was raised as their own by her aunt and uncle, Ray and Vera Hamilton. Judy owned and operated Secret Flower Shop for many years. Judy loved flowers and could grow anything and keep it alive. She was a member of the Wabash Valley Garden Club and was a Master Gardener. Judy was a proud life member of Salem United Methodist Church. She enjoyed everything outside, and most of all she loved her family and the time she spent with them.


A visitation will be held on Friday September 27, 2024, from 1-3pm at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 420 3rd street Covington, Indiana, 47932. A graveside service will follow at Osborn Prairie Cemetery with Pastor Thomas Dewlen officiating.
