Danville - Judith A. Chantos, 73, of Danville passed away at 5:18 PM on Thursday, June 26, 2014 at her home. She was born on July 9, 1940 in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, the daughter of Clarence and Eleanor Sempf Behm. She married Dr. Stephen John Chantos. He preceded her in death on April 21, 2011. She is survived by two sons, Steve (Kyla) Chantos of Urbana, Illinois and Scott (Carrie) Chantos of Dana Point, California; daughter, Ellyn (Jerrod) Chantos of Las Vegas, Nevada; a sister, Janet Meyer; a brother, Jim Behm; four grandchildren, Benjamin, Hannah, Noah, and Ellaina; and nieces and nephews. She is also survived by several close friends who were very dear to her. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents. She graduated from Rush Presbyterian St. Luke Nursing School. She worked for many years at Presence Hospital as a nurse, retiring as House Supervisor. Judy was an avid gardener, loved stitching, and liked to play her favorite card games, solitaire and "Acey, Deucey, Treyce." She loved spending time with her friends and working at the hospital, even after retirement. Per her wishes, there will be no services. Cremation has been entrusted to the care of Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, a Life Celebration Home in Danville.
