FITHIAN - Judith Anne “Judy” Evans, 66, of Fithian passed away Sunday, September 21, 2014 at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago. Judy was born June 2, 1948 in Danville, the daughter of Charles L. and Margaret (White) Cottle. On June 10, 2001 she married her soulmate, Warren Evans in Danville. Judy went to Bismark High School and attended DACC while raising her family. She worked for CRIS Senior Services in Danville assessing patients needs in their homes. She also worked for Walgreens, Carle, and the Vermilion County Courthouse during her time in the work force. Judith loved music, and anything outdoors, especially gardening. She had a knack for decorating for the holidays, and loved any time spent on the back of the Harley with her husband. Her family was a huge part of her life, and she loved spending as much time with them as she could. Judy is survived by her husband, Warren Evans of Fithian; five children, Cressa (Scott) Hazelbaker of Lake Charles, LA, Joanna (Chase) Pickering of St. Joseph, Marca (Jay) Ollis of Muncie, IL, Patrick Mack of Fithian, and Greg (Kelly) Evans of Oak Harbor, WA; seventeen grandchildren, Megan Hazelbaker, Katie Hazelbaker, Isaiah Hazelbaker, Cheyenne Hazelbaker, Jacy Miller, Ian Miller, Riley Miller, Maxwell Miller, Reese Miller, Lily Pickering, Liam Pickering, Courtney Ollis, Rheanna Ollis, Harlowe Mack, Lucas VanEsch, Jake Evans, and Wyatt Evans; three great grandchildren; and one nephew. She was preceded in death by her parents; her three sisters, Jennifer Cottle, Charlotte Schumate, and Jane Hamilton; and her father-in-law, Floyd Evans. A service to celebrate Judys life will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, September 26th at Sunsets Oakwood Chapel. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Oakwood. A memorial has been established for the American Diabetes Association.
