Judith Ann Smitley Judith Ann Smitley 72, of Danville, Illinois passed away on January 27, 2014 at Carle Hospital. Judy was born the daughter of Joe and Mary Hamer on December 24, 1941 in Danville, Illinois. She married Robert Smitley on August 27, 1960 in Danville, Illinois. He survives. Judy is also survived by Robert “Gene” (Kimberlea) Smitley Jr., William “Bill” (Shelia) Smitley, Kevin (Mary) Ostendorf and Thomas (Leisa) Nimrick, 9 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Cheryl Nimrick and one grandson, Robert “Robby” Smitley III. Judy was a member of Eastern Star, Audubon society, she enjoyed traveling all over the United States with her husband Bob. She also enjoyed camping, fishing, and gardening. Judy was a beautiful, devoted, patient wife and mother. Even in her loss of life she gave by being an organ donor. A celebration of Judys life will be held at 3:00 pm Thursday, January 30, 2014 at Sunset Funeral Home & Cremation Center A Life Celebration Home in Danville, Illinois. Officiating will be Reverend Ray Roberts. A visitation will be held on Thursday at the funeral home from 2:00pm - 3:00pm. In lieu of flowers Judys family asks that memorials be made to the American Cancer Society and the Audubon Society.
