GEORGETOWN - Juanita I. Neild, 90, of Georgetown passed away at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday November 13, 2007 at her home. She was born on September 15, 1917 in Catlin, IL, the daughter of Ernie and Mabel Truman Winland. She married William Richard Rip Neild on July 14, 1939 in Georgetown, IL. He preceded her in death on June 20, 2007. Survivors include: her son, Richard Allen Neild of West Lebanon, IN, her daughter, Betty Lou Crusen of Peoria, IL, two brothers, Bob (Pat) Winland of Georgetown and Don (Geri) Winland of Georgetown, two sisters, Eileen Vines of Phoenix, AZ and Mary Lou (Roy) Burgoyne of Georgetown, her grandchildren, Joseph A. Crusen of Peoria, IL and Douglas (Paula) Neild of Carrolton, GA, and her great grandchildren, Ethan and Courtney Neild of Carrolton, GA. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Dale and Larry Winland and one grandson, Kevin Neild. Juanita was a homemaker. She was a lifetime member of Fairview United Methodist Church. She was a member of the Womens Society of Christian Churches. She was active in her church, teaching Sunday school and Bible School. She also sang in the church choir. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She was the assistant secretary of the Georgetown Fair and worked in the Georgetown Fair Office. She enjoyed growing flowers and counted cross stitch. A celebration of Juanitas life will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday November 16, 2007 at Sunsets Houghton-Leasure Funeral Home with Jennie Chin Officiating. Burial will be at Georgetown Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Thursday November 15, 2007 at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Fairview United Methodist Church in Ridge Farm.
