Juanita Fenet

Juanita Fenet, 83, of Westville passed away at 9:40 pm, Saturday, August 8, 2009 at Colonial Manor in Danville. She was born June 7, 1926 in Danville, IL, the daughter of Anton and Antoinette (Mesaeh) Balsis, both deceased. On December 24, 1947, she was wed to Clarence Fenet in Westville, IL, until his passing in 1982. She will be missed by: her son, Bill Fenet of Newburgh, IN, and her daughter, Susan (Frank) Laitas of Terre Haute, IN; as well as, her grandchildren, Anthony (Lisa) Laitas of Terre Haute, IN, and Timothy (Alison) Laitas of Indianapolis, IN; and her great grandson, Andrew Michael Laitas of Indianapolis, IN. She is also survived by her four nieces, Cathy, Liz, Amy, & Carolyn, and her nephew, Larry. She was preceded in death by her brother, Leonard. Juanitas life revolved around her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed baking cookies for her boys and also cooking Lithuanian dishes. She enjoyed spending time with her good friends, especially Dorothy Suchaczewski, Louise Gress, & Ethel Bann. She was a member of Sts. Peter & Paul Church and later became a member of St. Marys Church and joined the Rosary Society. She also belonged to the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. Juanita was known to have a heart of gold. The family would like to give a sincere Thanks to Dorothy Suchaczewski and the Nursing Staff at Colonial Manor Nursing Home for all their wonderful care. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am, Wednesday, August 12, 2009 at St. Marys Church, 231 N State St, Westville. Father Timothy Sauppe will officiate. Burial will be at Sts. Peter & Paul Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday August 11, 2009 at Sunset-Urbas Funeral Chapel with a rosary to be held at 3:30pm. Memorial donations may be given in Juanitas name to St. Marys School.
