In the year of 2005, Juan won the heart of Idania Hernandez. The September corn festival in Hoopeston, Illinois marks the memory of their first kiss, where their life began together. Their family grew with the birth of their daughter and their strength was proven in her passing. The Lord later blessed them with three sons.

Juan was a hardworking, noble man who always found opportunities to provide for his family. He was a member of Holy Family Church and worked as the landscaper there, fixing trees and planting flowers. Idania would sometimes accompany him and after, they would go for ice-cream together. He also worked as a construction worker with his brothers.

In his free time, Juan liked to play bingo and cards with his brothers with a competitive spirit. He was also a fan of the Chivas soccer team and enjoyed watching them play. He liked to bake cakes and loved to see people eat them. He enjoyed fishing with his family and his brother, Armando. With his love for music he would DJ and would sing karaoke with his family during cookouts. Other times, they would enjoy eating out after church with the family and watching tv together. It is well known by all his family that he loved, spending time with them, Idania and their children. He will be remembered by his siblings for being funny, goofy and with a great sense of humor. He had a smile that would light up the room and they will treasure his smile in their hearts.

In the intimate details of conversation, one would learn that Juan was a strong man of faith, easy to talk to and safe to share your thoughts with. He was very humble, kind and had a generous heart. Not only was he a good son, father, and brother but a best friend. For all the wonderful things he was, Juan, "Guero" Romero, will be greatly missed.
