J.R. Coleman

Glen "J.R." A. Coleman, 40, of Danville, passed away at 1:39 p.m. Sunday, November 13th, 2011 at Provena United Samaritans Medical Center in Danville. J.R. was born on November 22nd, 1970, in Danville, the son of Marilee (Turner) Coleman. She survives. He is also survived by two sisters- Jen (Ted) Finnell of Fairmount and Sheri (Bob) Stevens of Danville; one brother- Jeff Wright of Tilton; grandmother- Vinnie Anderson of Tilton; aunt and uncle- David and Laurie Drake of Danville and nephew Scott, with whom J.R. made his home; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and his church family at First Baptist Church, especially Steve Ridge and his Sunday School Class. J.R. attended Danville Schools and worked for Rehab Services after high school. He was a member of First Baptist Church, where he was very involved in Sunday School and Vacation Bible School. He enjoyed fishing, working of crafts, watching Food Network and enjoyed baking. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan and was overjoyed in watching them win the World Series. A Celebration of the life of J.R. Coleman will be at 6:00 p.m. Thursday, November 15th, 2011 at First Baptist Church in Danville, with Pastor John Cummings officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00-6:00 p.m. Thursday at the church. Per his family's wishes J.R. will be cremated following the services. Memorials may be made in J.R.'s name to First Baptist Church.
