GEORGETOWN - Joyce M. Morrison, 75, of Georgetown passed away at 5:00 p.m. Monday February 19, 2007 at Colonial Manor nursing home. She was born on March 10, 1931 in Ogden, IL the daughter of Henry and Delpha Adams Cravens. She married Robert E. Morrison on January 13, 1952 in Georgetown, IL. He preceded her in death on February 14, 1983. Survivors include: one son, Jack (Gail) Morrison of Georgetown; one daughter, Mary Morrison of Georgetown; one daughter-in-law, Connie Morrison of Georgetown; two sisters, Clara (Tom) Snipp of Torrence, CA and Phyllis Finney of Melbourne, FL; four grandchildren, Tammy (Chris) Morrison-Price of England, Eric (Cindy Lack) Morrison of Georgetown, Ashley and Karina Morrison, both of Georgetown; and a great-grandchild, due in May. She was preceded in death by her parents, one son-Bob Morrison, nine brothers and two sisters. Joyce was a member of the Georgetown United Methodist Church. She was a past member of the American Legion Dornblazer Post 203 Womens Auxiliary and the Georgetown Historical Society. Joyce enjoyed gardening, yard work, and reading. She enjoyed collecting family heirlooms. Joyce also enjoyed having morning coffee with her friends at the local restaurant. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandkids. A Celebration of Joyces life will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday February 23, 2007 at Sunsets Houghton-Leasure Funeral Home. Officiating: Jennie Chin. Burial will be at Georgetown Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. Thursday February 22, 2007 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Georgetown United Methodist Church or the Humane Society in Danville.
