Joyce Lenart

Joyce H. Lenart, 85, of Anderson Indiana, formerly of Danville, Illinois, passed away at 11:30pm, Monday, January 25, 2010, at the Rawlins House in Pendleton, Indiana. She was born on August 13, 1924, in Racine, Wisconsin, the daughter of Thor and Esther (Hartune) Laursen. Joyce married Emil Lenart on November 6, 1943 in Racine, Wisc. Survivors include her one son, Thomas (Kristi) Lenart of Cookeville, Tenn, two daughters, Linda Miller of Anderson, IN, and Robin (Tom) Coveyou of Spring Valley, Ohio. One brother, Maynard Lenart of Ocean Springs, Miss, six grandchildren, Tim Lenart (Kristin), David Drake (Maria), Michelle Stiner (Steve), Joshua Koenig, Ben Koenig (Rene), and Chris Koenig (Kisa). Four great grandchildren, Ally Marie Lenart, Karissa Lynn Stiner, Owen Matthew Koenig, and Keplar Craft Koenig. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Emil M. Lenart. She worked at and retired from the Spencer Insurance Agency in Danville, Illinois. Joyce was a life-long member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Danville, IL. At the church, she served on the Altar Guild and was a member of the LWML. She also volunteered at the local hospital. Joyce was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family. A Celebration of Life Service for Joyce H. Lenart will be held at 2:00pm CT, Saturday, January 30, 2010 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center located at 3940 N. Vermilion St. in Danville, IL. Entombment will be at Sunset Memorial Park, Danville, IL. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 1:00pm CT until time of Service on Saturday at the funeral home.
