Joyce L. Clark

Joyce Lavaun Clark 68, of Georgetown, returned to her lord at 9:00 p.m Friday February 25, 2011. She was born August 6, 1942 in Danville, the daughter of Hardy and Creldia (Thatcher) Clark Tabor Setser, they both preceded her in death, as did her sister Becky Clark Tabor Setser and a brother Jack Pratt. Joyce considers in-laws family and loved everyone equally so she is survived by her extended family all of whom love and will miss her include; Pat Clark Pratt of Tilton, June Clark (John) Criswell of Tilton, Kevin, Wendy and Aren Clark, Emily Cook Swider all of Fairmount, Dan, William and Veronica Swider of Danville, Brenda Criswell, Bob, Dakota and Mike Finley of Tilton, Luchawna Criswell, Johnna and Jeffrey Simmons, Jim McGuire, John, Heather and Meghan Tabor of Marshall, Amy Tabor (Jason) Moore of Williamsport, also several aunts ,uncles and many cousins from both her Mother and Fathers family. She also is survived and will be missed by many loyal friends who loved her as much as she loved them. And of course her faithful dog Odie. Joyce attended Georgetown schools and graduated from Georgetown High School. She was a lifetime member of the 1st Church of Christ in Georgetown as well as teaching (not babysitting, but actually teaching the toddler class for 32 years. She always helped with Bible school for many years. Joyce was dedicated with anything that helped her teach others about her lord and she did that often by example. Joyce especially enjoyed her graduating class dinners once a month, often seeing classmates that were here from out of town. She also liked her weekly Bible study with her Christian friends and also her daily workout at Curves in Georgetown with even more friends. Joyce enjoyed the Red Hat sizzle dinners with her friends, she was a people person and loved them all. Joyce worked for Hyster NACCO Co in Danville retiring in 2001. Special thanks to Bud and Jan Felgenhauer and Heather Eltzeroth for sitting through Joyces surgery with us. A celebration of life funeral service for Joyce L. Clark will be Tuesday March 1, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at the 1st Church of Christ in Georgetown. Steve Rutter will officiate the service. Visitation for family and friends will be 4-8 p.m. Monday February 28, 2011 at Sunsets Houghton "Leasure Funeral Home, A Life Celebration Home. Burial will be in the Oakhill Cemetery.
