Joyce Kay Etchison

Danville - Joyce Kay Etchison, 68, passed away on January 9, 2016 at North Logan in Danville, IL. She was born the daughter of Charles and Audrey (Sanders) Sands on January 6, 1948 in Danville. Joyce married Larry Etchison on October 2, 1971 in Danville. Joyce is survived by her step-daughters Tammy (Teddie) Candler of Danville, Teresa Oatis of Danville; sisters Judith (Robert) Makemson of Danville, Norma (Mervin) Fox of Charlotte, NC; brothers Harold (Nora) Sands of Georgetown, Roger (Eunice) Sands of Danville; sister-in-law Grace Sands of Holly Hills, FL; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Joyce is preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister Phyllis Lawrence, and brother Sonny Sands. Joyce loved to crochet and spend time with her family, especially her sister Judy and brother-in-law Bob. Visitation will be held at Sunset Funeral Home & Cremation Center on Thursday January 14, 2016 from 12pm-1pm followed by service at 1pm at the funeral home. Entombment will take place at Sunset Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Joyce's family.
