Joyce E. Trumbull

Joyce E. Trumbull, 83, of Urbana passed away on Sunday, November 20, 2022, in Urbana. She was born in Sydney, IL on April 7, 1939, the daughter of James and Mary {Ayers} Taylor. On October 27, 1956, she married William T. Trumbull Sr.

Joyce is survived by her husband of 66 years, William Trumbull Sr.; children, William T. (Bill) Trumbull Jr. of Philo, IL. and Juli Trumbull of Champaign, IL. Special extended family, Jody Winn of Champaign, Il and Carly Vines and Ashton York of Paxton, Il. Along with several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, 4 sisters and brother.

Joyce attended Unity High School before beginning her work in healthcare. She worked for 5 years as an LPN and the remainder of her career in home healthcare. She was a devout Lutheran and attended the Zion Lutheran Church in Philo. Joyce enjoyed working in her garden, crafting, and dancing to country music. She was known for taking care of others and will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of meeting her.

A Celebration of Joyces life will be held at 2pm on Saturday, November 26, 2022, at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Champaign, Illinois 710 N Neil St. Champaign, Illinois 61820 with Rev. Donna Hacker Smith officiating. Memorial visitation will be held prior to the service from 12:30pm to 2pm at the funeral home.

Memorial donations may be made in Joyces name to the Zion Lutheran Church in Philo, IL, the Champaign County Humane Society or Empty Tomb, Inc.
