Joyce Christine Pasquale

Joyce Christine (Thornsbrough) Pasquale, 76, of Danville, passed away on February 25, 2019 at Pleasant Meadows Nursing Home in Chrisman, IL.

She was born on September 21, 1942 in Danville, IL, the daughter of Harold Eugene and Dorothy Elva (Ellis) Thornsbrough. Joyce married Bobby Joe Pasquale December 9, 1961 at Calvary Baptist Church in Danville, IL. He preceded her in death.

Joyce will be deeply missed by her two children, Jenise Christine (Terry) Vollmer, Kenneth Dwane (Leslie) Pasquale and one grandson, Lemuel Andrew Daniel Pasquale. She is also survived by her sisters, Linda Larson of Carlton, Oregon, Eileen Phillips of Bend Oregon, Elaine Jolliff of Portland, Oregon and one brother, Bruce Alan Thornsbrough of McMinville, Oregon.

Joyce lived in Danville all of her life with her family moving to Oregon area in 1967. Joyce worked at Kroger, A&P, General Electric almost 10 years and Veterans Medical Center 27 years retiring in 1997. CRIS Senior Center two years, 1999 to 2001. Her life centered around her family with attending Calvary Baptist Church in childhood. She never forgot her roots and was interested in genealogy with Robert E. Lee being one of her early relatives. Joyce liked to help others. Sewing and making small quilts gave her pleasure. She liked to travel and rummage sale too.

A celebration of Joyces life will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, March 5, 2019 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center 3940 North Vermilion St. Danville, IL 61834. Visitation will be held from 4-7 PM Monday, March 4, 2019 at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest at Johnson Cemetery in Danville.
