Joyce Ann Doss

Joyce Ann Doss, 63, of Danville, IL unexpectedly passed away in her sleep in the early morning hours of Friday, October 7, 2022. She was born the youngest of five on December 30, 1958 in Danville, IL to William and Saundra (Leisch) Carter. They preceded her in death.

Joyce was an incredibly hard-working single mother. She is survived by her daughter, Suzanne (Barclay) Nothaus, and her precious grandsons, Owen, Levi, and Oliver, whom she deeply loved. She is also survived by her brothers, James, Michael, Bob, and Paul, with whom she maintained very close friendships, and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.

Joyce had many friends and was a valued team member at her workplace, Flex-N-Gate Plastics. She enjoyed all things Christmas, horses, shopping flea markets, and traveling to visit her daughter. She was strong in her faith in God. Joyce was so loved by those who knew her and will be deeply missed by all of them.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm 7:00 pm on Friday, October 14, 2022 and Saturday, October 15, 2022 from 2:00 pm 3:00 pm at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville, Illinois. A memorial service will be held 3:00 pm on Saturday, October 15, 2022 at the same location. Cremation has been accorded.
