Joy M. Rollins, 76, of Georgetown, passed away at 4:30am, Saturday, November 17, 2012, at Kindred Hospital, Springfield, IL. She was born on March 29, 1936, in Vigo County, IN, the daughter of Orville and Della {Holowell} McMasters, both deceased. She was wed to Allan Rollins on July 17, 1956; he preceded her in death in December 16, 1993. She is survived by: her sons, Henry (Cindy) Rollins of Ridge Farm & Mark (Nancy) Rollins of Georgetown; her daughter, Lordell (Pat) Hoskins of Peculiar, MO; her daughter-in-law, Debbie Rollins of Georgetown; her nine grandchildren; her nine great-grandchildren; her brother, Johnny McMasters of Indiana; her sisters, Alice (Don) Bush of Tilton, Betty Ruhkamp of Georgetown, & Iris Reeder of Ridge Farm; her brother-in-law, Ted McDowell of Georgetown; and her special friend, Louise Snyder of Rantoul. She was preceded in death by: her son, David Rollins; her daughter, Vickie McDowell; and her great grandson, Zachary Goble. Joy had worked at Georgetown Plastics Plant, as well as, at Peterson's, but also worked with spring planting at Danville Gardens. She was a member of the Georgetown Bible Missionary Church. She loved to go fishing and working in her gardens. Joy also liked to do crafts. Above all, she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. A celebration of Joy's life will be held at 1:00pm, Wednesday, November 21, 2012, at Sunset's Houghton-Leasure Funeral Home, Georgetown, with Pastor Roger Mertens officiating. Visitation will be held 11am-1pm prior to her service at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest in McKendree Cemetery.
