Joy D. {Holdaway, Hill} LeValley, 69, of Westville, passed away at 1:54am, Tuesday, January 3, 2023, at OSF Sacred Heart Medical Center, Danville, IL. She was born on November 11, 1953, in Danville, IL, the daughter of Ralph and Josephine {Greer} Holdaway. She was united in marriage to Richard LeValley for 28 yrs. She is also survived by her children, George W. (Kristie) Hill Jr of Monroe, LA, Vanessa Hill of Danville, IL, and Alexa (Jason & Chelsey) Shook of Urbana, IL; her grandchildren, Karla Jones (Kyle Barney), Summer Jones (Cody Morman), Chad Pickett Jr, and Maria "Mars" Shook; her great granddaughter, Shelby Newcomb & with another due in May; and her siblings, Robert S. (Leslie) Holdaway and Kay (Larry) Thompson. There were many others that considered her Mom to them that will also miss her. She was preceded in death by her parents. Joy enjoyed taking care of her home as well as cooking and travelling, collecting stamps and spoons. She sold Tupperware, was a toy store manager, and was a co-owner for a window washing business supporting the Danville area businesses. She volunteered at St. Marys in Westville running bingo and Market Day. Joy enjoyed playing video games with her family. She will be dearly remembered by all who knew and loved her. A celebration of Joy's Life will be held from 2:00pm to 5:00pm, Saturday, January 7, 2023, at Central Christian Church, 1101 N Vermilion, Danville, IL 61832 with Adam Harmon officiating. Visitation will be held 2:00pm to 3:00pm, followed by 3:00pm to 5:00pm dinner and fellowship to share remembrance. Per her wishes, she will be cremated. Her arrangements were entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Westville, Illinois 414 S State St. Westville, Illinois 61883.
