Journey Stacey Bankhead

Journey Stacey Bankhead, 2 months, passed away into the arms of Jesus, Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana. She was born February 11, 2015 in Urbana, the daughter of Jonetta Ward and James Bankhead Sr. She will be deeply missed by her parents; her grandparents, Pamela Porter-Parker and Roy Parker of Champaign, and Victoria Rogers; her twin brother, James Delany Bankhead Jr. and a brother, Verles Dewitt Bolton; a sister, Samiya Pamela Bolton; and a host of aunties, uncles and cousins. She was greeted in heaven by her family who passed before her; her maternal grandfather, Johnny Ward; and paternal grandfather, Stacey Bankhead. A service to celebrate Journey's life will be held at 12:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 28th at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 710 N. Neil St. Champaign. Pastor Ervin Williams will officiate, and burial will follow services at Woodlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the time of service.
