Josiah Arthur Ames

Josiah Arthur Ames passed away at 6:40 am on January 3, 2018 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, IL the son of Mark and Miranda Ames of Danville, IL. Josiah was born on January 2, 2018 in Peoria, IL and is survived by his parents, Mark and Miranda Ames of Danville, seven brothers, Mark III, Carl, John, Ezekiel, Zebulun, Jedidiah, and Obadiah, two sisters, Anna and Ruth all of Danville, his maternal grandparents, Paul and Shirley Hauger of Bismarck, his paternal grandparents, Mark and Peggy Ames of Danville and his maternal great grandmother, Pauline Hendrix of Tilton, IL. Josiah is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family. Josiah is preceded in death by his maternal great grandfather, paternal great grandparents and one sister, Gracie Ames. A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, January 7, 2018 at 5:00 pm at Calvary Baptist Church, 1632 Georgetown Road in Danville, IL. Pastor Scott McCurdy will officiate. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm at the church. Burial will be at a later date in a private family plot. Memorials may be made in Josiah's name to the Gideon's International bible fund in care of Calvary Baptist Church 1632 Georgetown Road Danville, IL. Sunset Funeral Home, 3940 N.
