Joshua Timothy Kessler, 24, of Bismarck, IL passed away on February 25, 2017 at his home. He was born in Urbana, IL, the son of John and Anne (McCarthy) Kessler on February 19, 1993. He is survived by his parents; grandmothers, Regina Kessler and Diane McCarthy; brothers, Joseph John Kessler of Australia, Thomas Harrison Kessler of Bismarck, IL; sisters, Dannie Drent of North Carolina; aunts, Krista Salmon, Jane Paige, Marion Kember; uncles, Lee Kessler, Timothy McCarthy and several cousins. Josh was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Fred "Papa" Kessler and George "Aussie Papa" McCarthy. He graduated from Bismarck High School where he played football. Josh was an outgoing, polite young man, who studied Psychology at Millikin University. Josh loved his family dearly and had a huge heart, he was known for spending his time helping others. He loved and was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ and the Latter Day Saints in Danville. Visitation will be from 4-8 PM Thursday, March 2, 2017 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 3940 North Vermilion St. Danville, IL 61834. Service will be held at 10 AM Friday, March 3, 2017 at The Church of Jesus Christ and the Latter Day Saints in Danville with Bishop David Bealer officiating. Burial will take place at Sunset Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to Josh's family for funeral expenses.
