Joshua Petersen

Joshua Randell Petersen, 34, of Danville, IL. passed away on Saturday, September 15, 2018 surrounded by his loving family. Josh was born on April 1, 1984, the son of Randy and Karen Petersen. Josh was a graduate from Danville High School in 2002. He enjoyed raising pit bulls. He had a big heart and was always willing to help anyone. He is survived by his parents Randy and Karen, his sisters; Jennifer (Cody) Guyer of Danville and Hannah (Brian) Ellermets of Mattoon, his maternal grandmother; Mary Meyer, and paternal grandmother; Mary Jo Petersen and six nieces and nephews and several aunts, uncles and cousins. He also leaves behind his beloved dog Chanel. A celebration of life will be held for Joshua at 10:30 am Thursday, September 20, 2018 at Sunset Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 3940 N. Vermilion, Danville. Doug Knapp will officiate. A visitation will be held from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm on Wednesday, September 19, 2018 at the funeral home. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Park.
