Josephine Setser

Josephine A. Setser, 91, of Danville passed away on November 3, 2008 at Provena USMC Logan Campus. Josephine was born January 19, 1917 in Mulvane, Kansas daughter of Ransom and Ida (Hammer) Holmes. She married Charles Lenzy Setser on September 16, 1935 in Villa Grove, IL. He preceded her in November of 1987. Survivors include two sons: Alfred Don (Sandra) Setser of Danville, IL and Charles David (Peggy) Setser of Danville, IL; brother: Luther Homes of Newman, IL; three grandchildren: Nita Weist of Danville, D.J. (Kerri) Andrews of TN, and David (Dee) Setser of FL; 9 great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. Her parents, three brothers, and two sisters preceded her in death. Josephine was a graduate of Villa Grove High School and was a dedicated and loving mother & homemaker. She enjoyed reading and playing the piano. A Celebration of Josephines Life will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday, November 6, 2008 at Sunset Funeral Home & Cremation Center 3940 N. Vermilion St. Danville, IL with Pastor Dave Rumley officiating. Visitation will be held from 5-7 pm Wednesday evening at the funeral home. Following the service, she will be laid to rest at Sunset Memorial Park in Danville.
