Westville - Josephine Marie (Sis) Snook, 95, of Westville passed away on August 21, 2021 at Hawthorne Inn in Danville, IL.

Josephine was born on March 14, 1926 the daughter of Lloyd and Lula May (Artman) Jones in Memphis, TN. She married Lester Snook on October 30, 1943 in Tilton, IL and he preceded her in death on November 29, 2002.

Josephine is survived by her daughters, Diana (Ron) Harper and Kathy (Chuck) McBee both of Westville, IL; two grandsons, Adam (Jamie) Decker of Noblesville, IN and Shawn (Amber) Harper of Danville, IL; one granddaughter, Kristin (Karl) Stupples of Rocton, IL; five great grandchildren, Sydney Decker, Nolan Decker, and Savannah Decker all of Noblesville, IN and twins Belle and Olivia Stupples of Rocton, IL.

Josephine is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Lester Snook, one sister, Dorothy Stanfill and two sons-in-laws, Ernie Decker and Robert Shatto.

Josephine was a homemaker in Westville for 65 years and enjoyed spending her free time reading, watching her favorite TV shows and spending time with her family. In 2004 she was part of five generations.

The family would like to thank OSF Hospice for their compassion and care of Josephine in her last days.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center 3940 N Vermilion St., Danville, Illinois 61834. Raymie Gordon will officiate. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 1:00 2:00 PM on Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to the Mission K9 Warrior project through American Legion Dornblaser Post 203, 106 E. West Street, Georgetown, IL, 61846.
