GEORGETOWN- Josephine (Readnour) Bruce, 91 of Georgetown, passed away at 4:10am, on Monday, July 24, 2006 at Pleasant Meadows Christian Village in Chrisman, IL. Jo was born on January 4, 1915, in Midway, IL, the daughter of Frank and Angelina (Guarnier) Camarata. Both her parents precede her in death. In 1935, Jo married Robert L. Readnour in Danville. He preceded her in death in 1970. In 1974, she married Ralph E. Bruce in Georgetown. He preceded her in death in 1981. Jo is survived by her three children; Dennis (Kay) Readnour of Georgetown, Franklin (Deloris) Readnour of Ridge Farm, and Karen (Richard) Fraser of Georgetown. She is also survived by her six grandchildren; Gary Readnour (Vicki Paris) of Georgetown, Darin (Kim) Readnour of Georgetown, Janice (Randy) Towell of Richmond, MI., Steve (Deana) Readnour of Aurora, IL, Brian (Christine) Fraser of Neoga, IL, Amy Fraser of Orlando, FL, her eight Great-grandchildren; Logan and Chase Readnour, Shannon Towell, Connor, Paige, and Allison Readnour, Joshua and Emma Fraser, her three sisters-in-law; Mae Camarata., Virginia Camarata, Kathie Readnour and her special friend; Loretta Dunbar of Santa Monica, Cal, as well as her five nieces and nephews. Her two husbands, four brothers, Guy, George, Sam and James Camarata, and one sister, Mary Camarata, precede Jo in death. Josephine was a life long member of St. Isaac Jogues Parish in Georgetown, as well as with the Altar and Rosary Society. She was a Georgetown High School Graduate, and was later employed with the Reisman Sewing Factory, Continental Can, and Coates Apple Orchard. Josephine devoted her life to being a loving wife, mother, and to the Blessed Virgin Mary. Her hobbies included: playing cards, gardening, baking and attending all activities her grandchildren were involved in. She loved sports as well as camping and fishing. SAFELY HOME I am home in Heaven, dear ones; Oh, so happy and so bright! There is prefect joy and beauty In this everlasting light. All the pain and grief is over, Every restless tossing passed; I am now at peace forever, Safely home in Heaven at last. A Catholic Mass for Mrs. Josephine (Readnour) Bruce is scheduled for 11:00am on Thursday, July 27, 2006 at St. Isaac Jogues Parish located at 109 W 7th St. in Georgetown. Fr. Robert Hoffman will be conducting the service. Final resting place will be at Georgetown Cemetery. Visitation will be held two hours before the service, 9-11am on Thursday at the church. Memorial donations may be made in Josephines name to Pleasant Meadows Christian Village and/or St. Isaacs Parish. Sunsets Houghton-Leasure Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
