Josephine Anita Swan

Danville Josephine Anita Swan, 97, of Danville passed away at 7:00 am on September 25, 2020 at Hawthorne Inn in Danville, IL.

Josephine was born on January 1, 1923 the daughter of Robert F. and Gertrude M (Curry) Wilson in Bismarck, IL. She married Robert Swan on January 12, 1943 in Danville, IL and he preceded her in death on July 18, 1991.

Survivors include several nieces and nephews as well as numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.

Josephine is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Robert, four brothers, Glenn Wilson, Robert Wilson, Dennis Wilson and Francis Wilson as well as four sisters, Deane Starr, Thelma Spangler, Reva Lucas and Lois Huss

Josephine was a member of First Baptist Church in Danville and worked at Lauhoff Grain in the Accounting Department for over 31 years. She loved her family dearly and was a caregiver to many over the years. She also enjoyed spending her free time working crossword puzzles.

A Private Family Celebration of Life Service will be held at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville, Illinois, 3940 N. Vermilion St. Danville, Illinois 61834. Pastor Mike Chilson will officiate. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park in Danville, IL.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society in Josephines memory.
